LISTING DESCRIPTION

We want to make sure that our listings are optimized for conversion before we spend time and money driving traffic to our products. There are many ways to write a product description but here are a few tips:

✔️Make sure that the format of your description is appealing. Use bullet points, emojis and punctuation.

✔️Make it clear and concise. Make sure the words you're using inspire your visitor to take action. It's all about delivering the most important info in a clear way.

✔️Start with the benefits of your product, add the features (what's included), explain why they should buy your product vs. something else and finish describing the features again.

✔️ Tell your customer WHY they need to buy from YOU and not from someone else. A planner is a planner. They all produce the same result, right? What makes yours special? Talk about the bonuses. Are you including an extra set of stickers? Maybe you've added multiple covers. Whatever it is, make sure it is something unique to your brand.

✔️Leave nothing unanswered. Include an FAQ section at the bottom.

In this video I show you a bit more about the points I mentioned in the text above. Watch it to see an example of that it looks like.

Sure, not everyone reads the description. But being detailed in describing your product is important. That way you can stand your ground when someone asks for a refund because 'the product isn't what they *thought* it would be'.

WRITE AN ETSY LISTING DESCRIPTION

This is the method I use to write all of my product descriptions. I always use the same template to save time (can you tell I LOVE templates?!). I just change the copy to fit the product.
